At Style & Joy Events, we offer all types of services to make sure your event is exactly as you dreamed. Based in Norfolk, we cover the East of England for all services required by you. We opened the business in 2015 formerly known as SC Wedding & Event Planning.
With a love of planning weddings and events for guests, we want to help others have a perfect day on the biggest day of their lives. We focus on the finer details and make sure everything is as it should be for your day. In 2016, we expanded our business by becoming the events manager of a local venue, Piggyback Barns, before expanding further into offering venue decor to transform any venue. We began to handmake bespoke roof drapery, made to measure for every venue. Throughout 2017, we expanded further into the type of decor we provided. By 2018, we were accepted onto the Committee of the local Fakenham Rugby Club as the Event Organiser and we also ventured into hiring out banqueting items such as tables, table linen, chairs, crockery, cutlery and glassware. In January 2019, we decided to rename the business as we became the company to go to and get everything from one source/supplier. We invested in dance floors, photo booths and flower walls, including superb blossom trees. When we’re not planning or decorating weddings, we are at home enjoying time with our families. Don’t be shy to send us an email as we always try to get back to every enquiry within 24 hours.

Sandie – Managing Director

Sandie Chivers - Owner

Everyone who knows me, will tell you that I bring whole lot of heart to every wedding or event. When I started out in 2015 the business was founded with one person at the helm – me! Since then, I have expanded and grown Style and Joy Events built on professionalism, client trust and award-winning industry collaboration whilst maintaining the same family values still true to my core. Through ongoing success, I have built relationships with wedding venue’s throughout Norfolk and Suffolk which Style and Joy now manage exclusively. I am an independent, hardworking mum with two beautiful boys and a cavalier king Charles called Rory. Your in great hands when you book the team at Style & Joy.

  • In my downtime, I am at home enjoying quality time with the boys.
  • I love meeting people, getting to know our clients – being personable is what we are about.
  • Natalie and I share a love for musicals; I cannot wait to see Moulin Rouge later this year!
  • I love to travel and much as I can with my two boys.
  • I have a sweet tooth – two sugars in my tea always!

James Poll - Carpenter

Creativity and freedom are what I love, which is what makes me feel so passionate about what I do. As a Carpenter, my accumulated fifteen years of experience has given me the knowledge and skills that allow me to push myself and my designs, to be unique. I am very much a family man at heart, with a gorgeous wife and four, slightly crazy children that keeps me on my toes, along with our lurcher who fits right in with our brand of crazy!

  • I love to try new things – anything that pushes me to be better.
  • I am a HUGE foodie! And there is always room for dessert in my opinion.
  • I have a lot of patience for anyone that wants to learn – always happy to give them the time they need.
  • I am a relaxed person that doesn’t believe in stress and I’m always smiling.

Harriet - Designer & Stationer

Hi I’m Harriet. For as long as I can remember I’ve always been interested in Art, with supportive teachers and family I could explore it. I used any medium I could get my hands on, which the sheer amount of art stored in my parent’s loft would attest to. Now I mostly work digitally, or traditionally with watercolour. I was also that kid who loved art and math! I love Admin – is that weird? After years working in management I know just how much of an advantage it is to be organised, and a good excel doc is key. A few years ago I worked on a friend’s wedding stationery and absolutely fell in love with the process. Stationery is usually one of the first tangible things starting the journey to the big day, and there’s something about working in this industry that’s so positive and bright.
● I have a cat named Moby who’s afraid of almost everything.
● My taste in movies is definitely a mix of adventure and cheese: 1. Jurassic Park 2.
Back to the future 3. Indiana Jones.
● I love the theatre, especially musicals. The best show I’ve seen was ‘The King and I’.
● Theme parks are an ideal day trip; roller coasters, fun food and silly merch! My
favourite has to be DisneySea in Japan, it was my first Disney park experience and a
real childhood dream though I was in my twenties.

Neil Senior - Photographer

I was drawn to the documentary photography genre so invested in training with award winning photographers who inspired me. I developed a photographic and editing style of my own that founded my signature portfolio you see today. I love the North Norfolk landscape which I explore with my beautiful wife Natalie and our Keeshond Fenris, often this entails long walks along this amazing coastline whatever the season. Our rambles usually end at The White Horse at Brancaster for Fish & Chips or the Norfolk Deli in Hunstanton.

Located near to Norwich, Norfolk photographing weddings throughout Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Essex and London. My love for travel means I also cover weddings across the UK and destination weddings in France and Italy.

My wedding photography has heart and soul because as a photographer I am drawn to authenticity. I document meaningful moments and beautiful emotions without direct influence or photographer input. Instead, my portfolio showcases the connections between two people, their family and friends because wedding photography should be as natural and spontaneous as your celebrations.

Aaron - Videographer

My name is Aaron and I have a passion for storytelling in the art of cinematic film.

I studied filmmaking at University of East Anglia. Upon graduating, I moved to Cyprus to pursue my craft. During my time there I worked for various clients in many different filmmaking roles. A few years ago, I had the opportunity to film a wedding, and I realised wedding cinematography is my passion. I fell in love with seeing couples react to the final videos of their special day. To have the opportunity to be part of such an important day for so many people is a priceless feeling for me.

After working for 9 years in Cyprus, I moved back to my hometown in Norfolk. Now I aim to create art in the form of film that tells a story of your important day and of your love and life together – a film that you can watch and cherish for the rest of your lives.

– Outside of our busy bars we relax with our two mischievous miniature Dachshunds.

– We travel and much as we can, whenever we can, gaining greater cocktail knowledge wherever we go. At least that’s what we tell them ourselves it’s for!

Karl - Entertainment Specialist

I have always had a passion for music, from a very young age.

Completing many events from Weddings to Corporate functions to a high standard. Feedback from clients soon started to show my skills to read a crowd and fill a dance floor. With being brought up in the entertainment industry, my music knowledge is huge, knowing the 60s/Motown classics to the latest club & dance hits of today. Having performed at many prestigious venues, nothing gives me great pleasure then seeing a full dance floor and everyone having a great time. Karl – Entertainment Specialist
