We are so excited to bring to you another beautiful venue located not far from the town of Wymondham, Norfolk.
We have become the recommended Event Organiser for this tranquil venue with it’s amazing unique setting.
Morley Old Hall is steeped in romantic history which you sense as you drive down the chestnut tree lined drive. This is the perfect location for Brides and Grooms to enter as Husband and Wife for the first time and there is also the option of holding a ceremony in the beautiful gardens and lawns, either al fresco or in a marquee. You and your guests are free to roam the grounds and with ample picture opportunities, you will certainly capture that perfect moment. The Hall, the moat and the trees make a beautiful back drop for your day.
Guests are welcome to stay overnight whether its a special event or a break away few days. The grounds are so tranquil and one feels at peace as you explore the wildlife and wildflowers growing freely. The Hall itself is an Elizabethan Grade I listed country home, entirely defended by an Anglo Saxon Moat. It was designed by Sir Jonathan Sedley, an architect for both Henry VII and Henry VIII – The Sedley family lived there until the 1790’s, in the most recent years the house has been owned by Field Marshal Sir Edmund Ironside who was a Commander in Chief of Home Forces during the Second World War and Janet Shand Kydd, first wife of Peter Shand Kydd, Stepfather to Diana, Princess of Wales.
The gorgeous grounds and Hall have featured in various TV Shows and Films and is also the first house in ‘Beautiful Homes of Britain’.
